Privacy Policy — MotoZando

Last updated: 2 November 2026 · MotoZando is a product of R-EVOLUTION S.A.R.L., a company registered in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

1. Who we are

MotoZando is a motorcycle classifieds marketplace for the Democratic Republic of the Congo, published by R-EVOLUTION S.A.R.L. ("we"). For any question about your data, write to bonjour@motozando.com.

2. Browsing without an account

You can browse the catalogue, search, filter, open ads, save favourites and use the M. Flix assistant without an account and without giving us any personal information. An account is only needed to publish an ad or manage one.

3. What we collect, and why

Your phone number

Creating an account requires a phone number. We send a one-time code to it to confirm it is yours, and we store the number as the identifier of your account. It is required: there is no password and no email sign-in.

Signing in with WhatsApp

You can sign in by sending a WhatsApp message to our number. To check that the message really comes from the number you typed, WhatsApp (Meta) passes us your number and an identifier it gives your account for MotoZando. We keep the number you typed encrypted, with the state of the sign-in attempt, and delete these records after 30 days. Of your WhatsApp identifier we keep only a scrambled (hashed) form that cannot be turned back into it, and of your internet connection only a hashed network prefix, used to stop abuse. We never store the text of the messages you send us. WhatsApp's handling of your messages is covered by WhatsApp's own privacy policy.

Your name and the contact number on your ads

When you publish an ad you give us a display name and a WhatsApp number for buyers to reach you. Both appear on that ad's page and are visible to anyone who opens it — that is the purpose of a classifieds listing. Do not enter a number you do not want buyers to see.

Photographs

Photographs you add to an ad are uploaded to our storage and shown publicly on that ad. Photographs attached to a dealer application are uploaded the same way but are seen only by our team.

Identity verification (the orange tick)

If you ask for the orange tick, which tells buyers that we have checked who you are, we collect a photograph of your identity document and a photograph of you holding it. Only our team sees them, to compare the two; they are never shown in the app. We delete both photographs once we have decided, and keep only the decision: approved or refused, its date, and the reason for a refusal.

Business accounts

If you apply for a business account we collect your business name, what it sells, its RCCM and national identification (ID Nat) numbers, its address, city and contact number. To verify it we also ask for three documents: the RCCM certificate, the ID Nat certificate and a photograph of the owner's identity document. Only our team sees them, and we delete them once we have decided, keeping only the decision.

Advertising requests

A verified business can ask to appear in the banner at the top of the app. We collect the image it sends, a description of it (read aloud to people who cannot see the image; up to 300 characters, in French and optionally in English), the dates it wants, which business and account sent it, and our decision. Until it is approved, only our team and the business's own team see the image. If we refuse it, the image is deleted; once approved, it is shown publicly as the banner.

Reports about ads

When you report an ad we store the reason, anything you type in the optional box, the identifier of your account if you are signed in, and your IP address. We keep the IP address to detect abuse of the reporting system itself.

Ad statistics

For each ad we count how many times it was viewed and how many times its WhatsApp and Call buttons were tapped. These counts are anonymous: they hold neither your number, nor your IP address, nor anything about you; each is only a number per ad per day. They show sellers and dealers how much interest their ads get.

Favourites

If you are signed in, the ads you save as favourites are linked to your account, so you find them on all your devices.

Searches

We measure, anonymously, how the app is used (for example the searches made) in order to improve it. These measurements are linked neither to you nor to your account.

Sign-in sessions

Each signed-in device has a session, stored for up to 30 days, which records your browser's user-agent string so you can recognise and end sessions you do not recognise.

Technical logs

Our servers, hosted on Cloudflare, process request logs including IP address and user-agent for security, abuse prevention and service delivery. These are short-lived and we do not use them to build a profile of you.

4. What stays on your device

The following never reach our servers. They are stored in your browser and disappear if you uninstall the app or clear its data:

M. Flix runs entirely on your device. It is a rule-based assistant, not an external service: what you type to it is not sent to us or to any artificial-intelligence provider. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and the app's Data Safety declaration before the change is released.

5. Who else receives your data

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with the providers that make the service work:

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to investigate fraud or a threat to someone's safety.

6. What we do not collect

7. Camera and other permissions

The app asks for camera access only when you choose to photograph a motorcycle while publishing an ad, or your identity document when you ask to be verified, and only then. You can decline and pick existing photographs from your device instead. The app requests no other device permission: no location, no contacts, no microphone, no notifications.

8. How long we keep it

9. Your choices and your rights

You can change the name on your ads, remove an ad, mark it sold, and sign out of every device, all from My account.

You can delete your account at any time, from My account in the app or by following the steps at motozando.com/en/account-deletion. Deleting your account permanently removes your account, your ads, their photographs, your favourites, your business application and any verification request with its documents. It cannot be undone.

To ask for a copy of your data, or for a correction, write to bonjour@motozando.com. We answer within one month, after confirming that the request comes from you (for example with a code sent to your account's number).

10. Children

MotoZando is intended for adults buying and selling motorcycles. It is not directed at children, and you must be 18 or older to create an account or publish an ad. If you believe a child has created an account, tell us and we will remove it.

11. Changes to this policy

When we change what the app collects, we update this page and the app's Google Play Data Safety declaration together, in the same release. The date at the top always shows the current version.
